We welcome people of all ages in our worship. Children are especially welcome and we offer aids to enhance their worship experience such as Sunday School, special events and a children’s sermon on the first Sunday of the month.

Teenagers participate fully in the life of the church and serve as readers, acolytes, intercessors and ushers.
Each month we celebrate Family Sunday where there is a sermon directed towards the children gathered and they are invited to participate in the celebration of the Eucharist.
Acolytes serve on teams which assist in the worship services. Youth are eligible to become acolytes at about 3rd grade. They lead the processions and attend to the holy table during service.
The Altar Guild is a lay group commissioned by the Rector to be responsible for the preparation of the church for all services: worship, baptisms and memorials. They also care and provide for the sanctuary, altar supplies, flowers and vestments.
The Shawl Ministry is a group of lay people who knit shawls on their own, and throughout the year together, to distribute to shut-ins or those suffering from illness. Shawls are blessed at church prior to being distributed. (See photo above.)
Vestry Person on Duty serves on our vestry (governing board) and welcomes newcomers and parishioners to church on Sunday morning. This person can also answer questions you might have about Christ Church.
The Choir helps lead our worship each week. They rehearse prior to the 10:00 a.m. service. New members are always welcome to join at any time during the year.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors assist in the administration of Holy Communion. All serve during services and some take the Eucharist to parishioners who are unable to be present at worship.
Lectors read the Bible lessons during worship.
Ushers have a variety of responsibilities including greeting people and collecting the offering. They also record the attendance and count the offering with a member of the vestry after the service.
10 a.m. Tuesday Holy Eucharist and Bible Study is held each week at 10 a.m. Healing prayer and anointing with oil are available prior to this service.
